Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

We're looking for an analytic person, a data engineer to develop and implement our ‘Digital Waters' data strategy to keep us informed on everything Three Waters. It's an exciting time to be part of Three Waters and you can play your part in ensuring our community all have safe drinking water and reliable waste and storm water networks. Using your effective relationship skills you'll be the link between ICT, GIS, Compliance and Three Waters Teams ensuring both internal and external stakeholders are informed on the data and what it means. We work as one team so you'll always be able to call on the expertise of your colleagues in the Three Waters team to support your findings.

You'll be joining a team that envisions being better together, so you'll be a team player that upholds the values that a bunch of staff developed together (see below). You'll be experienced in applying data management principles in the Three Waters sector, have sound knowledge of business intelligence software and used to data systems analytic tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire. Microsoft Excel will be a second language to you with experience using VBA and macros. Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, R, and advanced experience in SCADA or ArcGIS Pro would be advantageous but we're hot on development so be prepared to keep learning on your journey with us.
