Are you passionate about ensuring compliance within the building and construction sector? Do you have a knack for fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional service?
As a Compliance Coordinator your responsibilites will include:
- Administering our Building warrants of fitness and pool barrier regimes
- Compiling and issuing new or amended compliance schedules and certificates for public use
- Providing general guidance on compliance processes, directing complex questions to building compliance officers or other relevant personnel
- Acting as the first point of contact for compliance related inquries, assisting with information requests from property owners, developers and the public, ensuring that you align with the Councils vision and contribute to the successful delivery of our programmes.
You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in your community while working alongside a dedicated team. This fixed term role is to cover parental leave from December 2024 until July 2025.
Ko wai koe | About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum of two years' experience in Local Government, with proficiency in using databases, GIS systems, and software such as AlphaOne, Ozone, and Microsoft Applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- A solid understanding of quality assurance principles, policies, and office systems.
- High attention to detail and excellent time management skills, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Ability to drive and influence decisions with confidence, acting with honesty, transparency, and empathy towards communities.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, with sound judgment and accountability.
