Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
This is a dual role where you will be responsible for completing office tasks such as managing bookings, checking guests in and out, taking payments and providing exceptional customer service to our guests. Alongside this you will also provide cleaning services for our holiday park cabins and communal areas. You'll ensure these spaces are clean and welcoming for our next visitors. You'll be confident in performing a high level of cleaning as well as laundry duties. We are a small team, so teamwork is key. This is a 20 hour a week role working Mon-Sun on a rotating roster basis which includes weekends and Public Holidays.

You will bring your positive attitude; excellent cleaning skills and exceptional customer service skills and we'll provide the coaching and training to ensure you shine in this role. You'll be joining a team that envisions being better together, so you'll be a team player that upholds Whakatāne District Councils values. You will have the ability to work either unsupervised or alongside the team and will have a demonstrated ability to continuously improve processes and procedures. You will have a good understanding of health and safety coupled with excellent time management skills.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in a Housekeeping or Cleaning position.
- Previous experience with guest management including check in and check out.
- Well-rounded administration skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment health and drug test.
