Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
As a casual Customer Engagement Assistant, you'll be working in one of our most loved community facilities, Whakatāne Library and Exhibition Centre. You'll thrive on interacting with our communities, sharing your knowledge, and providing outstanding customer service. You'll assist and respond to counter and phone enquiries, support our reading community, share your knowledge of literature and promote the numerous activities offered.
As this is a casual role, the successful applicant will be called upon as and when required, subject to their availibility.
Ko wai koe | About you
Ideally, you'll have a recognised qualification in library or information studies however this isn't essential. You'll also be a team player with great communication skills. You'll be able to build rapport quickly, crack on with tasks, and work across a range of teams and with people and groups in our communities. Strong awareness of Tikanga and Te Reo Māori is also desirable.
You must be able to pass a Police Vetting Check.
