Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

As an Executive Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing professional and efficient support to a key member of our Executive Leadership Team. This includes managing a wide range of administrative responsibilities such as diary and correspondence management, document preparation, and coordination of meetings and travel. You'll also engage with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring that operations run smoothly and that the Executive Leadership Team member is well-prepared to meet organisational and community objectives.

Your proactive approach, organisational expertise, and attention to detail will help shape the day-to-day success of the executive and their team.

You'll be joining a team that envisions being better together. To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • At least 3 years' experience in executive support
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to anticipate needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining confidentiality and building trust across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Team player skills that uphold Council's values
  • An understanding of local government
  • Skills in managing diaries, correspondence, reporting, and stakeholder relationships
  • Exceptional attention to detail, process improvement focus, and problem-solving ability.
