Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

You will work closely with the Team Leader Transport Operations to ensure the quality and cost-effective delivery of road maintenance services are delivered in our District. You will be responsible, alongside others, for the operational management of the District's roading network, including the technical administration, coordination and management of all road maintenance and some renewal of contracts.

This position is classified as Health Sensitive and Safety Sensitive so the preferred candidate will be required to undergo and pass a satisfactory pre-employment health and drug test.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • At least 5+ years proven experience in managing road maintenance contracts and projects
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Initiative and the ability to relate with people
  • A tertiary-level qualification in civil engineering and traffic management would be an advantage
