We're on the lookout for a passionate and motivated Fitness Instructor to join our team at the Whakatāne Aquatics & Fitness Centre located in Whakatāne. In this role, you'll be the face of our fitness facility; delivering safe, effective, and engaging exercise instruction to individuals, groups, and teams. Your work will focus on supporting our members to achieve their health and wellness goals, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
You'll be instrumental in promoting our fitness programs, assisting with new membership sales, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our health and fitness services in the community. Whether you're designing tailored exercise programs or simply walking the floor answering member queries, you'll be a key part of creating a positive experience for every visitor to our facility.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- Two years' experience in the fitness industry, particularly in a community centre is preferable, and customer service experience.
- Passionate about health, fitness, and supporting others on their wellness journey.
- Communicate confidently and professionally with people from all walks of life.
- Confident delivering individual and group fitness programmes.
- Design and instruct safe, effective, and engaging exercise sessions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability in using Microsoft Office and other systems.
- Show initiative and take pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Flexibility, reliability, and willingness to support your team wherever needed.

This is a permanent full time role, 30+ hours per week, and the hourly rate range is from $24.00 to $29.00, depending on skills and experience.
