Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

You'll play an integral role in making sure we continue to provide high-quality water and wastewater services that meet the needs of our communities.

We have a small team of technical experts who support the continuous operation and maintenance of water supply, storage and treatment across our District, ensuring our water and wastewater treatment is effective and compliant with all standards and regulations.

Keeping the water flowing through the taps means that you'll also join the roster to complete routine weekend work and provide after-hours callouts when required.

Ko wai koe | About you

You'll be joining a team that envisions being better together, so you'll be a team player that upholds the values of Council. We are looking for experience in operating water or wastewater treatment plants and holding a National Certificate in Water or Wastewater Treatment would be preferable.

Having knowledge of process control, field and laboratory analytical instrumentation, calibration and maintenance of continuous reading analysers and familiarity with monitoring and sampling of water and wastewater would also be great.

This is an active job, so you'll need a good level of fitness along with a strong commitment to health and safety.

You'll get access to a range of staff benefits including five weeks' annual leave and free swimming pool access. You'll never be more than half an hour away from rivers, lakes, forests, beaches and great walks - most are just on your doorstep. We love this place and you will too.
