Join a specialised team as our Application Support Analyst at the Whakatāne District Council, located in Whakatāne. As an Application Support Analyst, you'll play a key role in ensuring our people can make the most of the software and applications we use every day.
What you'll do
- Respond to and resolve application support requests, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Assist with the testing, rollout, and troubleshooting of new and existing software applications.
- Develop and deliver application training and resources for staff.
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications and updates.
- Document knowledge bases, procedures, and troubleshooting guides to support consistent problem resolution.
- Provide support and input into organisation-wide initiatives, including the ERP programme.

You'll be a proactive problem-solver with a strong customer service focus, able to translate technical know-how into clear, practical support for our people. Adaptable and collaborative, you'll bring both the technical expertise and communication skills needed to keep our applications running smoothly.
What you'll bring
- A tertiary qualification such as in computer science, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience supporting enterprise and desktop applications (Microsoft 365 experience preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong service focus.
- The ability to learn quickly, adapt, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
