Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role
As our Technical Administration Officer - Three Waters, you'll play a vital role supporting the operational delivery of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater services across the district.
This is more than a traditional admin role — you'll sit at the heart of our Three Waters operations, coordinating service requests, supporting operational teams, managing depot systems and stock processes, and ensuring customer enquiries are responded to efficiently and professionally. You'll work closely with operational staff, contractors, and internal teams to ensure services are delivered safely, effectively, and to a high standard.

What you'll do
- Receive, record, and monitor customer service requests to ensure KPI timeframes are met.
- Provide administration and financial support to the Three Waters team.
- Assist with contract administration, and reporting.
- Maintain stock registers.
- Coordinate depot activity and ensure systems and processes operate efficiently.
- Provide statistical data and operational reporting as required.
- Support emergency response and Civil Defence activities when needed.

You'll be organised, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple systems and stakeholders. You're someone who builds positive relationships, maintains high attention to detail, and takes initiative to improve processes and service delivery.
What You'll Bring to the Role
- A qualification in Business Administration (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in customer service, administration, and stock control.
- Strong Microsoft Office and database skills.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Confidence working with technical information and operational teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport across teams.
- A solution-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- A full, clean driver's licence.
Knowledge of local government processes or Three Waters legislation would be advantageous.
