As our Accounts Receivable Officer, you'll play a key role in managing Council's sundry debtors and supporting the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
This is a varied role that combines financial processing, systems management, and customer interaction. You'll be responsible for managing debtor accounts, supporting invoicing processes, and helping ensure payments are collected in a timely and professional way. You'll also provide backup support for daily bank statement processing, making you an important part of the wider Financial Processing team.

What you'll do
- Proactively manage and collect debtor arrears to minimise outstanding debt.
- Maintain and update the sundry debtors database, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Process sundry invoicing and ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Produce monthly debtor statements and financial reports.
- Reconcile debtor and general ledger accounts.
- Support daily bank statement processing as required.
- Respond to customer enquiries and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.

What You'll Bring to the Role
- Relevant qualification in business, accounting, or finance (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in accounts receivable, finance administration, or similar
- Confidence working with financial systems and databases
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage debtor accounts and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
